Then you may be interested in the Stewardship of the Urban Landscape (SOUL) course offered by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program. The course prepares participants to become stewards of the forest in which they live by covering topics from tree identification, biology and planting to resource assessment, landscape design and conservation planning.  Through a series of four evening classes and two Saturday classes,participants will become part of an invaluable community forestry network. This educational opportunity is based on fifteen years of SOUL Tree Steward programs which has graduated more than 400 Vermonters!

Where: Classes will be offered simultaneously in multiple locations in Vermont, with an on-site instructor at the following sites: Berlin, Burlington, Middlebury, Springfield and St Johnsbury. Saturday classes will be held in Montpelier.

When:  Evening sessions 5:30-8:30pm, March 19 & 26, April 2 & 9. Saturday sessions 9am-4pm, March 22 & April 26.

Cost: $75 (Early Registration)- $100. Get sponsored by your town and receive a $10 discount. Contact us for details.
